BYD has increased the prices of its Atto 2 and BYD Sealion 7 in the Nepali market.
The BYD Atto 2 now costs Rs 44.99 lakh, up from Rs 43.99 lakh, reflecting a price hike of Rs 1 lakh. Meanwhile, the BYD Sealion 7 has received a more significant increase, with its new price set at Rs 77.99 lakh, compared to the earlier Rs 74.99 lakh.
In terms of performance, the Sealion 7 is equipped with a 100 kW rear-wheel-drive electric motor that produces 380 Nm of torque. It draws power from a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery, delivering a WLTP-rated range of up to 440 km on a single charge. This positions it as a strong contender in the premium electric SUV segment in Nepal.
The Atto 2, on the other hand, features a 100 kW electric motor generating 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 51.13 kWh battery pack. It offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 345 km, making it a practical choice for urban and daily commuting needs.
With Nepal’s EV market continuing to grow, driven by supportive policies and increasing consumer interest, pricing adjustments like these are likely to influence buying decisions but are unlikely to slow overall adoption.
